Check out the reviews on Tripadvisor. The hut is no longer recommended. I was there myself at the beginning of August 2025: expensive, uncomfortable, and the food was not good. I recommend that hikers from Munich to Venice either take the cable car down to Hintertux or slightly replan their tour from the Lizumer Hut to exit directly in Hintertux without taking the cable car. For the connecting tour via the Friesenbergscharte, you can take the "Gletscherbus" cable car from 8 a.m.

The first waterfall on the trail can be seen right at the start. All the waterfalls along the trail are very beautiful to look at.
