The bench in my photo is nicely hidden behind a tree and bush, but you still have a good view of the pond, and you can certainly enjoy the tranquility of the forest if you're not in the middle of a run. (Or you can just take a break until the horseflies eat you up... 😕)

On the western side of the lake there are hardly any public paths to the lake. Everything is built up. I don't know what it looks like on the east side. The one bathing area where I was on the west side is probably overcrowded in summer... In itself it is a beautiful lake with a great view. !!! But there is currently a warning about Burgundy blood algae: https://radio-oberland.de/news/2024-12-03-algen-pilsensee.
