The park was created in 1832 on the initiative of Helmuth von Maltzahn, who commissioned Lenné to design a Baroque landscape park. Lenné's plans have been preserved, but it is unclear whether they were fully implemented, as no clear traces of his designs are visible on the grounds.

Zettemin was first documented in 1261 and initially belonged to Dargun Monastery. It developed from a farming village into an estate village when a manor farm was established in the eastern part of the village. The local farms were "laid down," meaning the farmers lost their independence and became day laborers on the estate. The stone was erected or inscribed in 2001 to commemorate the first known mention of the village in 1261 (then as "Cethemyn").

The manor house was built in the 1750s under the von Maltzahn family. Until 1937, Zettemin was part of the "säben Dörper" (seven villages), a Pomeranian enclave in the middle of Mecklenburg territory. From 1852, the estate belonged to the von Heyden-Linden family before passing to the Counts of Schwerin in the 19th century.

The rectory in Ivenack is a half-timbered house dating back to 1776 and is located opposite the school in the village.

The baroque manor house was built around 1750 by the von Maltzahn family as a symmetrically laid out brick complex in the late Baroque style.

The cycle path runs as an extension of Specker Straße along the eastern shore of Lake Feisneck and leads south into the Müritz National Park. It begins on the southeastern outskirts of Waren and offers cyclists a well-maintained, smooth asphalt path. The surrounding area is characterized by dense natural scenery: reed beds stretch along the shore of Lake Feisneck, while forests flank the path to the east. The road provides an attractive gateway to the Müritz National Park and allows for nature observation and relaxation in a quiet, natural setting.
