The sundial, dating from 1971, is attached to a half-timbered house belonging to the estate of the Duke of Württemberg.

The large information panel in front of the castle marks the start of the historical trail. The first image is a reconstruction of the castle as it was built in 1482. A moat with a drawbridge and a surrounding wall (still standing today) with corner towers enclosed the inner courtyard with its buildings and a residential tower.
