Stoense church is one of the few churches in the country that has the tower to the east. The church is open during the graveworker's working hours, but is also a nice sight from the outside. It is believed that the church was originally built in the Middle Ages, but it has been extended to the west and has been given vaults in the year 1600. The reason for this is that the long-awaited project to renew the roof of the church tower and the much-needed whitewashing of the entire church and painting of the windows on the outside has now started. All church activities will continue unchanged during the renovation period. The church bell will not be in use for daily ringing, but only for services.
