The information panels provide an insight into the history of the Schönholzer Heide, the Soviet War Memorial, the former forced labor camp, and the war cemetery. Especially in today's world, it is important to remember the suffering that was endured here.

The Schönholzer Heide is a largely natural, hilly woodland park covering 35 hectares. Other komoot users have already written about its history. There are several sports facilities here. Visitors should also see the memorials (Soviet War Memorial, the memorial grove for victims of war and tyranny).
