Unfortunately, there are signs prohibiting dogs everywhere around the lakes and along the hiking trail. This is despite the fact that it's clearly people who aren't cleaning up after themselves.

The Muckenthaler Teichpfanne is an impressive pond landscape known for its diverse flora and fauna. Hiking there, you can enjoy the tranquil nature, observe numerous birds, and experience the special atmosphere of the old carp ponds such as the Mondsee, the Riesslitzer Teich, and the Silbersee.

The Waldnaabtal Hammermühle hiking car park is an excellent starting point for hikes into the Waldnaabtal valley or to Falkenberg. It is easily accessible from the A 93.

The river valley of the approximately 12-kilometer-long canyon is lined with extraordinary flora and fauna, with granite cliffs up to 50 meters high. Many myths and legends surround the enchanted valley and its cliffs. At the "Chamber Wagon" rock formation, even the devil himself supposedly turned to stone.
