German cuisine - great staff

The beautifully shady forest path from Müggelseeperle to just before Müggelhort offers several access points to the water, but only a few spots that are truly suitable for swimming. It's clear that the quality of the water improves towards Kleiner Müggelsee (i.e., to the east). There are also lovely resting areas. You can see cormorants, but only in the distance. Kleiner Müggelsee is also definitely worth a visit. It has a great beach with plenty of sand and sun! There are also quieter spots, but due to the adjacent forest, they're all in the shade.

A nice hike with friends

Bölschestraße in Friedrichshagen is characterized by architectural diversity, with Wilhelminian and Art Nouveau buildings, such as the former town hall, dominating. Also notable are several remodeled buildings, such as houses 66, 74, 76, and 85. The town hall itself, a typical example of the renovation, is asymmetrically designed and constructed of Cotta sandstone.

The simple hall church (around 1800 probably a plastered brick building in Baroque-Classical style) on the market square (1903–1920: Friedrichsplatz) was succeeded in 1903 by the much larger St. Christopher's Church, due to the significant increase in population. On November 13, 1972, the tower of St. Christopher's Church was destroyed by Hurricane Quimburga. The falling gables killed a 64-year-old woman and tore 25-square-meter holes in the church's roof and vault. To temporarily secure the tower, the spire was secured with steel cables. The spire, which was in danger of collapsing, was demolished three days later and replaced with the gable roof structure that still stands today.

The writer Wilhelm Bölsche (1861-1939), who, along with Bruno Wille (1860-1928), was one of the founders of the “Friedrichshagen Poets’ Circle”, is the namesake of the more than one kilometer long Bölschestraße, which leads from the Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station to the Müggelseedamm.
