A new S-Bahn station is to be built east of Sputendorfer Straße. This will make Stahnsdorf the new terminus of the S-Bahn line extended from Teltow. In the future, S-Bahn trains will depart from here every 10 minutes to central Berlin. A central platform with two tracks is planned. A storage facility with four tracks is planned northeast of the new station. The most commonly caught fish here are bream, perch, roach, eel, carp and 10 other species. The most successful fishing method is feeder fishing.

The Machnower See, also Kleinmachnower See, is located in Kleinmachnow on the outskirts of the southwestern Berlin district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. The lake, which is embedded in an old tree population, is part of the federal waterway Teltow Canal[2] with a flow direction from east to west. The Spree-Havel Waterways and Shipping Authority is responsible.
