Unfortunately, it is not open to the public! The Groß Gievitz manor house is a baroque manor house situated in an idyllic park. The original building probably dates from the first half of the 18th century (around 1730), while the surviving stables were built around 1700.

The settlement likely originated in the 13th century through Westphalian farmers and knights in an area originally settled by Slavs called Schlön. The name derives from the Old Slavic word "gvoru" (water bubble) and roughly translates to "village by the lake." Groß Gievitz was first documented in 1316 in a land division agreement between Princes Johann II and Henning von Werle.

Originally conceived as a burial chapel for the von Voss family, the cemetery chapel in Groß Gievitz is a neo-Gothic structure built between 1827 and 1831. It was designed by the Prussian court architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel and commissioned by August Ernst von Voss to honor his grandmother, Sophie Marie von Pannwitz (1727–1814), who served at the Prussian royal court for 69 years.

Five grave monuments with crosses, some made of artificial stone and bearing Bible verses, bases made of black natural stone, bearing names and dates of birth and death.

The watermill in Groß Gievitz, also known as the Gievitz Mill, was built around 1890 as a gristmill and originally had a waterwheel. Around 1903, a steam engine was added to improve the machinery, and a bakery was integrated in 1910. Flour was sold as far away as Waren, which negatively impacted local mills. The mill ceased operation in 1963 because small, private mills were no longer receiving orders.

The inspector's house, one of the best-preserved buildings of the former estate, was built in 1756 and remodeled in 1908. The listed building still features original stucco ceilings and parts of the wood paneling.

To the west of Torgelow Castle is the relic of a rectangular, medieval tower hill castle. Only two sections of the former moat remain. The hill extends about two meters above the moat.
