A lovely little town right on the lake, cute harbour, historic lifting bridge. Quite strenuous by bike, as there is a lot of cobblestones laid within the village. You get shaken up...

If you have binoculars or the right lens for bird watching, you can bring them with you...there is a lot to see here! Unfortunately, I forgot my 600 lens.

The Plauer See is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Mecklenburg Lake District, a water landscape formed during the Ice Age. It has a north-south extension of about 15 kilometers and an average depth of 6.8 meters, the deepest point is 25.5 meters. With its wide, natural shores and quiet bays, the lake offers a safe home for a large number of animals.
