A very impressive old oak tree, right next to the path. Diagonally opposite is a wonderful resting place with a good view of the forest landscape. Unfortunately, more and more of these giants, also known as "Hute-Eichen" (hunting oaks), are dying in the Schorfheide region.

There are no sidewalks or parking spaces in the village of Koldenhof. However, here at the far end, it's easy. From here, you can quickly reach the lake and use the path near the shore to reach the official bathing area. - Warning: Very idyllic!

An interesting building with a very special feel inside. Aside from the comfortable seating and plenty of room for a large number of people, the acoustics are strange. Sounds are practically muffled. You feel like you're deaf, but you can also enjoy the silence. It can also serve as a good shelter from the rain if the rest area at the front of the parking lot is already occupied.

It's beautifully situated with a view, and it's solidly built with a decent roof. It's definitely a great place to stop for a break, but it's quite close to the parking lot, so anyone coming from there certainly won't be tired at all!

The Heilige Hallen beech forest in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft Nature Park is a very special place. Here you can marvel at ancient beech trees that are up to 350 years old and over 50 meters tall. The forest resembles a Gothic cathedral, with its mighty trunks reminiscent of columns and the dense canopy of leaves reminiscent of a church roof. In this oldest beech forest in Germany, nature is allowed to develop almost undisturbed – deadwood is left lying and provides a habitat for many rare animals and plants. The Feldberger Seenlandschaft Nature Park also invites you to hike and experience nature with its clear lakes, rolling hills, and rare animals such as otters and sea eagles.

Ancient (approx. 350 years old), venerable beech trees grow up to 52 m high! Nature reserve since 1938!

The oldest beech forest in Germany

Here you are standing in front of the replica of the Lüttenhagen charcoal kiln. You can also look around the charcoal burner's hut. A plaque next to the hut tells of the old days when charcoal was still actively produced in the Serrahner Forest. The production process is also explained.
