In 1990, the local ski club, in collaboration with the Silberhütte Sports and Leisure Center, built a ski hut at the turning point of the cross-border cross-country ski trail on the site where the stately forester's lodge of the later-abandoned village of Goldbach once stood. The hut is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (in winter only until 4 p.m.).

Here stands the oldest stone observation tower in Bohemia; it was built in the years 1822-25 by Josef Johann Nepomuk von Schwarzenberg and has a height of 18 meters and a great view.

Currently closed because construction is underway on Čerchov. A new mountain hut with rooms and a restaurant is to be built.

A popular meeting place for cross-country skiers and hikers from the Czech Republic and Germany is the forest hut under the Brunnhäusl at 875 meters above sea level, better known as the Benda Hut. It gets its name from the fact that the head of the Domazlice Municipal Forests, forestry director Jan Benda, opens the hut mostly on Saturdays and Sundays in winter to provide cross-country skiers and hikers with grog, tea, coffee or beer. Guests are particularly pleased when Jan Benda serves apple pie baked by his wife Maria. The original hut, which served as improvised accommodation for tourists, hunters and woodcutters, is now a ruin.
