Highly recommended! The menu is limited to some fries and cheese/ham sandwiches, but plenty of drinks ;-). Super friendly service and a nice collection of local relics in the barn.

Absolute highlight and a very worthwhile stop. Very friendly, very tasty coffee and apple pie. Very fair prices. There is an opportunity to charge the battery.

Walsoorden is a small port town, directly on the Western Scheldt and located in a polder that was first diked around 1200; In 1622 the polder was diked again and a small harbor and the current village were created. This port has played an important role in agriculture in the region, for example for the transport of malt and sugar beets. In the course of the 18th century it became an outer port of Hulst. The port is used for the supply and removal of products for companies in the municipality. In the summer people often swim or dip their toes at the old jetty of the former ferry connection between Walsoorden and Hansweert. Walsoorden has long been the departure point of a ferry across the Western Scheldt. A Hansweert-Walsoorden ferry was mentioned as early as 1521
