It is a square building with a domed tower, originally made of wood but rebuilt in brick. Above the entrance is a coat of arms made of Bentheim sandstone, made by Johan van Blommendael. Ooltgensplaat Marina is a popular port with passers-by because of its friendly atmosphere and central location in the South Holland waters and Zeeland delta waters. The marina is located on the Volkerak, a mile south of the Volkerak locks. Within half a day you can reach the North Sea locks at Stellendam, the Grevelingen, the Oosterschelde and cities such as Dordrecht. The entrance to the harbor is difficult to see due to the trees and shrubs, so pay close attention to the signs indicating the harbor. The Volkerak has virtually no water level difference, so the maximum draft is a constant 1.80 metres. This applies to the lock threshold, the access channel and the port itself.
