The first prayer house founded by the Old Believers is in Kükita – on September 14, 1740 the Kükita prayer house was blessed. During the War of 1812, Old Believer Cossacks donated a chandelier for Kükita prayer. By 1833 there were a total of 397 Old Believers in the parish register of Kükita. Today's prayer house was built in 1948 in place of the prayer house that was destroyed in World War II. The Old Believers hold religious services every Sunday and every holiday.
