Hey. The sauna has been locked up, and is now only open to paying guests. because some just walked in, and used it without paying the camp site owners. Super weird thing to do. I mean it takes a lot of work to keep a place like that going, and it takes nothing really to steal some wood and use it without paying! I don’t know where this is normal practice, but here in Scandinavia it is just bad behavior. Stram op tourists!

The sauna is only available for camping guests that have checked in at the reception, for questions about the use of the sauna contact the campsite owner, the phone number can be found on the reception door.

The artificial cave at Vildmarkscamping offers 3 fire pits and many table combinations hanging on chains for a special barbecue experience or when it rains.

Highlight of our tour of the unique Hätteboda campsite. The spots are absolutely gorgeous. The area stretches about 500m along a lake and one spot is more beautiful than the other. Highly recommended is Eagle Point - a peninsula where you can cross a bridge to beautiful places. In May free choice of seats, in summer a reservation is recommended, then at least 5 nights. Reception hours are 9am-10am and 5pm-6pm. Priced around €30/night. Without electricity. Toilets are small wooden huts where you pump water with a foot pump. There are small covered spots with gas cookers and sinks, canoe rentals and wood storage for BBQs. You should also definitely visit the Valhalla Grotto here.
