Very cool spot, rich in heritage.

Stretch of bike path just outside Tingsryd. This is a stretch of the Sydostleden route, a scenic cycling trail linking Växjö and Simrishamn, The total route is roughly 270 km long and offers varied landscapes, from forests to coastal views.

There is also a small hiking car park here

In 1855, home distilling was banned in Sweden and state-controlled distilleries were established. In 1861, there were 27 distilleries in Kronoberg County and one of them was in Stenfors.

Remains of the brewery from the middle of the 19th century. Next to the building remains is a spring fed by groundwater.

An ironworks was established at the rapids of the Bräkneån in the late 1700s. In 1748 the name was changed from Bräken to Stenfors. In the mid-19th century the ironworks and hammer mill were expanded into an industrial complex where furnaces and agricultural tools were formed. The plant ceased operations around 1900.
