The Church of San Pablo was built in the 13th century on the site of a former mosque. This church is one of the oldest in the city and impresses with its blend of styles: a Romanesque portal, known as the Carpenters' Gate, a Renaissance-style side facade, and a late Gothic interior. The church is located in Plaza Primero de Mayo, also known as Paseo del Mercado (Market Square), as for centuries public markets were held here, as well as political events such as city council elections, religious services, and theatrical performances. Around the square, you can see the old Town Hall, the monument to Saint John of the Cross in the center, and at number 20, the house where Joaquín Sabina was born.

The Sacra Capilla de El Salvador is located at the far end of the Plaza Vázquez de Molina. It is the family mausoleum of Francisco de los Cobos, secretary to Emperor Charles V. Its façade and portal, both in the Plateresque style, are particularly noteworthy.

The Andrés Segovia Monument in Linares is a tribute to the famous classical guitarist born in this city in 1893, considered one of the most influential of the 20th century. It is sometimes called "zapatones" (big shoes) because of the exaggerated size of the feet in the sculpture, a detail the artist used to emphasize the maestro's presence.

The Paseo Virgen de Linarejos is one of the most emblematic spaces in Linares, both for its historical value and its architectural and scenic beauty. Its layout began in 1843 and was completed in 1875, coinciding with the mining boom in Linares and its proclamation as a city during the reign of Alfonso XII.

The Linares Bullring, also known as the Coso de Santa Margarita, is one of the city's most iconic sites, both for its architecture and its bullfighting history. It was built in 1866 and inaugurated in 1867 with a bullfight featuring bulls from the Miura ranch.

A temple of Visigothic origin, built in the 17th century as a church dedicated to Catholic worship, it is part of the city's Renaissance architectural complex, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003.

The route is fine

After the cathedral, this is the largest religious building in the city. The church was built in the 14th and 15th centuries in Gothic style and has three portals: a Gothic portal with a mosaic of the apparition of the Virgin of the Chapel, the patron saint of Jaén, who according to legend liberated the city in 1430 during a Moorish siege; a Renaissance portal by Valdelvira; and a neoclassical portal added in the 18th century by Ventura Rodriguez, which is also the main entrance to the church. Inside, you can admire the main altarpiece by Pedro and Julio Roldan and the tabernacle by Pedro Duque Cornejo. In the Capilla de la Virgen, which is decorated with stained glass windows and frescoes, there is a statue of the patron saint of Jaén. Andrés de Vandelvira is also buried here.
