Risen Nature Reserve is a beautiful landscape located on the edge of the village of Genarp in Skåne. This popular recreational area offers a mix of open grazing pastures (fälad), ancient solitary oak trees, and wetlands, making it a fantastic, varied hike through classic Scanian scenery. It is particularly renowned for its rich flora, including blooming pasqueflowers in spring and rare orchids in the damper sections, as well as its year-round population of grazing cattle and horses.

It was a wonderful hike through a beautiful old beech forest. This is part of the largest contiguous mixed deciduous forest in Sweden. It's practically the equivalent of Germany's Hainich National Park. How beautiful! Heard lots of nuthatches, but unfortunately, didn't see any dippers. The Naturum information center is lovingly designed. You get tips on the hiking trails, lots of information about the beech trees and their inhabitants, and there are free restrooms and a café. A visit is definitely worth it.

The camp is only for tents, there is no shelters. There is a well with water and a compost toilet. There is no dumpsters on the site.

A circular hiking trail in the Ivö klack nature reserve takes you around the hill in the north of the island, close to the water.

At this location, there is an old quarry in the forest, which was in operation from about 1880 until the 1950s. Some of the large boulders still show evidence of how the stones were first crushed.

The open meadow at the end of the hill offers you a very beautiful view over the northern tip of Ivö, the largest island in the province of Skåne län.

On your hike through the dense beech forest, you'll come across a romantic stream. This stream flows into Lake Ödensjön, which lies a little further down.

If you are out for a walk around Odensjön, you will have a wonderful view of the lake below you thanks to the elevated position.
