The Süßenborn village well is a unique structure and monument. No comparable object has been found in Thuringia to date. The well consists of a vaulted basin chamber made of natural stone. The Church of the 14 Saints is of Romanesque origin and dates back to 1180. The 2.90 m long and 3.90 m wide sacristy room supports the narrow east tower. The organ of the Süßenborn church was built by Adalbert Foertsch in 1866. After extensive restoration, it has once again resounded with impressive sound since May 2011. A perhaps not so noticed monument, which refers to the slaughter on the battlefields of the double battle of Jena and Auerstedt. Kapellendorf - the castle was a headquarters of the Prussians and the allied Saxon and Thuringian troops. There is a well-known, large, impressive monument on Sperlingsberg near Kapellendorf. Not far from him, this monument commemorates the battle of October 14, 1806. It was dedicated exactly 100 years later in memory and is located on a dirt road.
