The listed[1] Evangelical Lutheran village church of St. Nicholas is located in the middle of the municipality of Schmeheim on a small hill in the district of Hildburghausen in Thuringia. The organ with a baroque front from 1787 was rebuilt several times in the 19th century and replaced in 1886 by a new building by the organ builder Kühn.
