The church fortress has been beautifully renovated. And if there is anyone there who can open the door, please take a look inside the church.

You wouldn't think that you could catch such a beautiful view of the countryside.

The church of Vachdorf is a fortified church, surrounded by a very high wall and buildings. The first church was here in 930, but the current church dates back to the 13th century. Don't forget the path BEFORE the defensive wall to the high watchtower. This is locked, but you can enter the vestibule, where an information board is still hanging. The churchyard and cemetery are well worth seeing. In fact, part of the fortifications are currently being extensively reconstructed with buildings. The church itself is open during the day and can be visited. Inside there is a beautiful altar room, as well as historical photos and museum pieces in display cases.

The Church of St. Vitus is a fortified church that is surrounded by a ring of houses. Access is only possible through a castle-like archway. Unfortunately, the Church of St. Vitus cannot be visited from the inside.
