Ottilien Chapel in Kaiseringen The Ottilien Chapel in Kaiseringen, presumably dating back to the 15th century, is first mentioned in a parish register dated January 22, 1504. It was likely a small church belonging to the so-called Siechenhaus (infirmary) on the southern side of the Geißental valley. Even today, this side of the road between Kaiseringen and Frohnstetten is called "Siechenhalde" (Siechenhalde). The chapel was demolished in 1925 due to its dilapidation and rebuilt to the same size. Locals call this water cave "Brechfelsen" (Break Rock). They probably call it this because in the spring (when there was a lot of meltwater due to the weather), water would "break" out of a crevice in an arc.

The Jesus figure is not visible from the direction of the Albverein hut. You either have to climb onto the rock to see it from behind or walk around the bottom of the rock.

A very well-maintained hut with outdoor facilities and a barbecue area. There are two benches nearby with beautiful views of the Schmeiental Valley.
