The observation tower is located about 1 km outside of Nödenitzsch. It is approximately 5 meters high and can be climbed via a very narrow spiral staircase. The path is well signposted and easily accessible. It offers magnificent views of the surrounding landscape.

Lots of cow dung, which is a challenge for people and dogs, especially because the cows walk directly on the hiking trail. The wooden bridges are far apart, which makes it difficult for small dogs to cross, but they can get under the electric fence. After the cow pasture there is a nice forest path that leads to the stream and meadow. In May the cow pasture and the path across the meadow from the stream are less recommended for dog owners because of the cow dung and the very high grass (ticks), but they are highly recommended in autumn to spring.
