We went there especially for snacks and drinks... what we found was an empty shelf and advertising leaflets... no idea if they'll ever offer anything again... and there were no advertised deck chairs either... not even a bench... if it rains you could take shelter but this place isn't good for anything else... you don't even get a nice view... so not recommended

The bike path is just great! In very good condition, top routing. Many rest areas, well maintained, space everywhere despite the high volume of cyclists. The tunnels of different lengths are an experience... pack your cardigan and check your bike light! 😉 Very beautiful landscape, several places to stop for refreshments, the handcars are also very interesting. From Dingelstädt to Frieda it's almost always slightly downhill. The viaduct in Lengenfeld u.S. drove around... 🤪 Very nice and highly recommended!

The monastery is a former Franciscan monastery from 1864 on the Kerbschen Berg surrounded by around 200 linden trees. The women's pilgrimage has taken place annually since 1961. In 1997 the diocese of Erfurt set up a family center.

From Dingelstädt the cycle path leads on the former second track of the railway line via Lengenfeld unterm Stein to Geismar. From there via Großtöpfer close to the road on asphalt paths to Frieda an der Werra with connection to the Werratal cycle path. The route was built in the 19th century for military purposes only, hence the name: Kanonenbahn-Radweg. Numerous rest areas along the route invite you to take a break.
