Located on the balcony of the Mangfall Valley... Beautifully situated with a view of the extensive Mangfalltal and 80 mountain peaks! Before the Church of St. Bartholomäus was built on the site, Hohenrain Castle is said to have stood there in the 10th century. The walls of the church are from the Romanesque period. In the 15th century the church was rebuilt in the Gothic style and from 1720 it was given a Baroque touch. The chancellery with evangelist symbols, which was made in 1784 by the woodcutter Josef Götsch from Bad Aibling, is particularly valuable. The church is right next to the "Zur Schönen Aussicht" inn. The NAJU (Nature Conservation Youth) local group Bruckmühl of the Landesbund für Vogelschutz (LBV) eV in Bruckmühl has on a non-profit green area of the Free State of Bavaria next to the Mangfall, on the Brückenweg in the district of Hinrichssegen, a nature adventure garden to sensitize our native nature and for environmental education based on the model of the three -Zone garden principle developed by Markus Gastl. On the one hand, the area is used as a base for the group lessons of the NAJU Bruckmühl and, on the other hand, it is intended to show interested citizens possibilities and examples of how one can contribute to greater biodiversity in one's own garden. The area is also available to schools and club groups for nature and environmental education and has been used by the nearby primary school in Heufeld since the beginning of this year.
