This cross is on a hill right next to the old runway and behind the Neubiberg cemetery. From above you have a beautiful view over the runway towards Unterhaching.

It was fenced with barbed wire which was placed under a voltage of 2000 to 3000 volts at night to prevent the 500-600 inmates from escaping. It was at the eastern end of the site on Zaunkönigstrasse, whose prisoners came mainly from Germany, Poland, Italy, the Ukraine, Spain, Norway and the Netherlands. The prison camp had four barracks :, two bedrooms, the canteen barrack with the punishment bunker and the toilet block. In the middle of the courtyard was an approximately 6 square meter extinguishing pond, which was also used for torture purposes. The punishment bunker and the canteen were housed in the third barrack. In the bunker there were several extremely small chambers in which sitting was prevented by an iron bar. (Source: "Im compulsion for the Reich") The west side of the subcamp with the watchtower, the command barrack and the bunker for employees and SS guards must have been where Zeisigstrasse bends. In the sources, the swastika made of flowers, neatly planted in front of the command barrack, is always highlighted.

Beautifully located forest cemetery on Niedweg, which represents the forest extension from Ottostraße to Putzbrunn. The cemetery is adorned with a large wooden cross on the front. There is a pretty wayside cross at the crossroads in front of the entrance. In the clearing next to the cemetery, inclined hikers can exercise on the fitness trail.
