Small pond, partly overgrown with water lilies. If you're lucky, you'll see frogs, dragonflies or toads here.

Dense forests, lush meadows and a few ponds can be found in the Aubinger Lohe. Perfect for getting out of the city and immersing yourself in nature. In winter, you can also go tobogganing on the slopes if there is snow.

The Burgstall Aubing, mostly called Teufelsburg, was a tower hill castle, i.e. a moth, which was built in the 10th century but was abandoned in the 14th century. So this castle is 300 years older than most medieval castles, most of which were built in the 13th century. But it is only a stable and not a ruin. The last stones of the castle were sold about 100 years ago for 45 Kreuzer. Pity! But you can see the typical truncated cone shape of the former Turmhügleburg very well. With great effort, a moat was dug which is circular in plan. The excavation was piled up inside the circle. For structural reasons, the typical motte residential tower could only be erected with sufficient distance to the edge of the artificially heaped truncated cone. The rest of the fortification was secured with a palisade fence. These moths were reserved for the lower nobility or the ministries.

This body of water is officially called the Erlbachweiher. This secluded pond with its old willows and reed banks was originally created as a fish pond. In 2004, the state capital Munich bought it for nature conservation purposes. Today the pond is a near-natural biotope and oasis of calm. The surrounding wet forests and meadows are among the most valuable areas in the city area. Numerous rare plants and animals find their habitat in the remains of the once extensive Aubinger Moos. Waterfowl and beavers live in the pond and the Erlbach that flows out of it. This diversity right on the outskirts is a special feature.
