The Fürste full-inherited farm from 1649 was owned by the cathedral chapter of Osnabrück under knightly law and was redeemed in 1835 with a redemption payment. The main house was built in 1743 by Jürgen Fürste. It is a four-post house with a length of 43 meters. A special feature is the two-line gable motto. The display gable was restored in 2009. The large half-timbered barn was destroyed by the storm in 1972. This is the only four-post farm in the Artland gable mile. Until the storm damage in 1972, the courtyard was closed off from the street by the barn. The large and asymmetrical panels in the gable are clearly visible. This is how the builders saved on lumber. A comparison with the Wehrkamp farm in Höne is appropriate because they are almost the same size. The two-line gable motto is also unique in the municipality. Livestock is still kept on the farm. The gable was painted in oil paint for decades. During the restoration in 2010, the original appearance was restored.

The market place used to be on the spot where the Gehrder pump stands today. The Gehrder markets were held there, which developed into important livestock markets for horses, cattle and piglets. People and animals demanded water, and so it was decided to build a well. The first Gehrder pump was built in 1862, which was encased in a wooden box filled with peat to prevent the pump from freezing in winter. On top was a square petroleum lantern - the first public street lighting in Gehrde!

The baroque dome of Gehrde church greets visitors from afar. The current Gothic church building with its unarticulated tower made of Ueffeln sandstone dates from the 14th century. The baroque dome, with four tiers and ending at a height of 48 metres, was created by the Osnabrück master Schönebaum (1740).
