A lovely café overlooking the marina, offering food and drinks. It can get very crowded during the season.

My dogs also thought it was great, a small beach by the turning basin. Unfortunately it was all a bit littered. Tip: a little further on, when you get to the wooden pavilion, which in the dog photo would be about head height at the back of the path, there are toilets!

There is a beautiful body of water right in the middle of the path and in the forest. The lake is ideal for a break as there is also a nice bench here.

The Sellingersluis is a lock in the Ruiten-Aa canal near Sellingen in Groningen. The lock, which was built in 1917 as part of the canal construction, is managed by the Hunze en Aa water board. It is operated by the passing boatmen themselves.

A tip for beer 🍺 A small, family-run, committed and cozy brewery in Lünne. With an attached restaurant, it is an experience, the tour was very informative and you could try all the types of beer that are made there! The location is very dignified and cozy. Guests can also try curling or crossbow shooting, for example. The service was extremely friendly and attentive.

There is an observation tower with a view of the garbage meadows. There was a bomber crash there in 1943, and another information board tells you about the trenches that were there during World War II. Next to it is a small rest area.

North of Steinbild, the Ems Cycle Path runs to the left of the Ems. Here we find this holiday park with living on the water and a marina. But also a café and restaurant with a terrace. All in all, a great location for a leisurely break on the Ems.
