Anyone who hops on their bike between Mixdorf and Müllrose should take a short detour to Lake Belenz – if only for the wooden shelter that looks as if it had chosen this very spot of its own free will. Here, quiet waters and shady forests meet, a simple resting place with a bench, a roof, and a view – that's all you need for a good life. The lake itself lies peacefully, as if it knew its charm. It is fed by a spring from the damp meadows north of the Wustrow Mountains. And when it has collected enough, it quietly sends its water on – over a ditch to the Schlaube, so that the valley truly bears its name. Hikers continue from here to the Ragow Mill. For cyclists, this might only be a brief stop – but one that lingers. Because a place like this doesn't make a big fuss about itself, but it stays in the mind for a long time. Those sitting here sometimes hear more than usual: the rustling of the trees, the splashing from the ditch, their own breathing. No noise, no pressure – just Schlaubetal.

Built in 1953 by Helmut Perschke as a summer house for his family, it is now maintained and preserved by the local fishing club. A great place to rest and enjoy the view over the Schervenzsee.
