Kaiserwinkel 기념비 및 추모비(이웃 마을인 Zicherie와 함께 자주 언급됨)는 니더작센과 작센안할트 사이의 이전 동서독 국경에 있는 중요한 추모 장소입니다. 1961년 10월 12일 – 베를린 장벽 건설 후 불과 두 달 뒤 – 서독 언론인 Kurt Lichtenstein이 Kaiserwinkel 근처 국경에서 동독 국경군에게 총격을 받았습니다.

드뢰믈링은 니더작센주 기프호른군에 있는 중요한 자연 보호 구역입니다. 이곳은 2023년부터 국경을 넘는 유네스코 생물권 보전 지역으로 인정받은 드뢰믈링의 더 큰 저지대 습지 풍경의 일부입니다.

Approximately 2,200 kilometers of waterways run through the Drömling region, which is why it is also called the "Land of a Thousand Ditches." The UNESCO Biosphere Reserve provides a habitat for numerous rare and endangered animal and plant species. The area of the biosphere reserve extends over 450 square kilometers from the southwestern edge of the Altmark region along the Mittelland Canal to the northwest of Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to the waterways, the landscape is characterized by deciduous forests, meadows, fields, and moors. For centuries, the Drömling was a region in which no one was really interested (moorland, poor soil, border landscape). This is well explained using the example of Kaiserwinkel.

The whole Drömling is one of the largest settlement areas of Master Adebar, who nests here in many places and can be observed very well.

The largest part of the Drömling is in Saxony-Anhalt. In terms of landscape, of course, nothing changes due to the political national border. You will also find peace and seclusion in the Lower Saxony part.
