A beautiful circular tour from the ship lifts along the lock to Liepe.

A beautiful round trip from the ship lifts via the lock to Liepe and back again on the other side.

The Cöthen Park is based on an idea by Carl Friedrich von Jena. Following his instructions, the gorge, now wooded with enormous beech trees, through which the Cöthen stream meanders towards Falkenberg, was transformed into a landscape park in the 1820s. Remnants of the park, consisting of an old waterwheel and a waterfall, can be found in the source area of the picturesque stream. A fantastic area... highly recommended.

Information Center of the Niederfinow Ship Lift

It's a very beautiful, easy hike, but more like a walk. It was an experience to get to know this beautiful area. Suitable for all ages, including children.

New: Hiking trail along the wild horse pasture - under construction. Boardwalk between the lift parking lot and the Finow Canal. Enter at your own risk. Pedestrians only. Keep dogs on a leash. Do not feed horses. Animals can be wild. A strong electric fence is installed!

Not particularly spectacular, but you can rest here.
