A route that's easy to drive.

Regular cultural events take place, including the popular "Chorin Music Summer," special and art exhibitions, and guided tours. A permanent exhibition, opened in April 2017, provides information about the life and work of the monks, as well as historical discovery and monument preservation efforts. A free app called "Chorin Monastery 3D - At the Time of the Cistercians" allows for a digital exploration of the complex.

The wooden bridge, built in 2001, spans the Werbellin Canal between Eichhorst and Lake Werbellin. On the right side, toward the lake, there are a few beautiful trails.

Most of the paths along or toward Lake Werbellin are paved, but for some trails you have to go into the forest.

A technically advanced system. Boaters must navigate this system alone. The system is monitored by video surveillance by the WSV.

Pushing an e-bike up a sloping staircase isn't easy. Even with push assistance, it's best to do it with two people.

The approximately 280-meter-long and 90-meter-wide forest lake is approximately five meters deep at its deepest point. It is located in the northern part of the "Sonnenburger Wald und Ahrendskehle" nature reserve. Formerly called the Black Pond, it was renamed the Devil's Lake almost 200 years ago. As part of the Hammerthal valley, there are many stories about the lake. Today, you can find numerous beaver tracks around the lake and several beaver lodges. A lawn invites you to linger, and the lake itself, of course, is a great place to cool off.
