(Update 24/04) On the German side, the last terrible meters before the border have been given a new surface and are now even easier to roll into the Czech Republic. Be careful at the border: narrow passage and sometimes lots of (standing) hikers/cyclists. On the Czech side there is a wonderful path on a strip of asphalt about 2 m wide. It looks like a bike path, but it is a road for cars and motorcycles. So be careful on the bends. The scenery is beautiful on both sides of the border.

The hiking trail along the Czech-German border is, as Bernhard Sander correctly stated above, a typical forest hiking trail. Not suitable for cycling in any way (not even MTB unless you're a little crazy).

One of many boundary stones, but this one here on the Zahlwasser is still reminiscent of an earlier German state.

Border crossing Czech Republic/Germany. Only possible on foot or by bike. Entry to the most beautiful part (in my opinion) of the border hiking trail -> coming from Steinigtwolmsdorf to the right 👍

Very nice hut to stop off. Homemade cake and delicious sausage. As others have already written: note the opening times.

Very well-kept memorial for the fallen in both world wars. Furthermore, a memorial stone commemorates the battles of 1813.

The stone cross is provided with a knife. According to legend, a servant from the former Truhel bleaching factory stabbed the bleacher's maid to death with a knife in 1869 because she did not want to know anything about him.
