The Haselberg Tower stands atop the approximately 183-meter-high Haselberg hill in the Königsbrück Heath and is one of the most popular viewpoints in the nature reserve. The roughly 30-meter-high wooden tower was erected in 2005 and, after climbing about 160 steps, offers a panoramic view across the forests, heathlands, and open landscapes of the former military region. Today, the tower is a popular destination for hikers and cyclists and a lovely rest stop surrounded by nature. 🌿🥾

This is the former officers' mess of the "Neues Lager" military training area and it is one of the last buildings that were not demolished.

Leaning Tower of Bautzen

It is located on the northeastern edge of the old town and is now structurally connected to Gottfried Semper's Old Barracks (Stara kaserna). Bautzen Cathedral (St. Peter's). Information: The tallest building in the city. The cathedral tower is 83 meters high. The cathedral received its present form in 1430. In 1456/63, the late Gothic hall church was extended with a fourth nave on the south side. After the great city fire of 1634, the interior was redesigned in the Baroque style.
