The graduation tower in Bad Wilsnack was built as part of the town's modern spa development following the discovery of a thermal brine deposit in the 1990s. The Kristall Spa and Graduation Tower was constructed based on this discovery. The graduation tower was also built as a complementary spa facility and the first of its kind in the state of Brandenburg. It utilizes the natural brine, which trickles down wooden walls filled with brushwood. The evaporation creates a saline microclimate, which is particularly beneficial for respiratory health. The site is open to the public.

Always worth a visit. Plenty of seating and sports equipment for active leisure activities.

The pilgrim café is located right next to the Church of the Holy Blood and offers everything you would expect from a classic patisserie. Products for allergy sufferers and diabetics are also available. There are also savory dishes at lunchtime.

I'm currently in Bad Wilsnack, but there's no sign of the much-described observation tower 🤔🙄

The Chapel of St. Spiritus. It is the chapel of the "Holy Spirit" hospital, founded in 1313. Its current appearance was created at the end of the 15th century. The hospital is said to have been founded before the chapel. Later, the chapel served as a salt warehouse (hence the popular name "salt church"), a grain warehouse and a fire station. For years, it has been used for cultural events and as a registry office. A pair of storks also breeds young on its roof.

The "King Gustav Adolf Monument" stands on the market square. It is intended to commemorate the fact that the Swedish king and his army set up their heavily fortified camp directly near Werben (Elbe) from July 11th to mid-August 1631.

The still well-preserved Elbe Gate in Werben was built between 1464 and 1470. A total of five city gates were built around 1460, of which only the brick Elbe Gate with its pointed arched passageway remains. The tower houses a small local history museum with a viewing platform. From here you have a uniquely beautiful view over the roofs of the city, the lowlands of the Elbe and even the stork nests in the stork town of Werben.
