The Nonnweiler Dam is the largest drinking water reservoir in Saarland and supplies the entire region with fresh water. The reservoir was created in the 1970s and is idyllically nestled in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park. The information board provides fascinating details about water management, construction methods, and the dam's dimensions. Directly behind the community center in Züsch is a spacious parking lot, making it the perfect starting point for hikes.
