Beautiful to look at and a popular motif

The view is very beautiful, but the hike has several boring sections. I would therefore enjoy the view while hitchhiking and then do another hike, which isn't usually my style.

During the Second World War, the inhabitants of the surrounding villages used salt water for cooking and baking bread. Today the salt well invites you to relax.

The somewhat less known, but no less beautiful Saar loop. Fantastic view of the Saar from the hang glider ramp. It can be reached, for example, from Serrig (either directly from the village or from the Prallertsweg, then you can combine it with a circular tour by walking back to the vantage point via the Lunkertbach and Angelweiher), from the Serrig forest or also, but then connected with a longer hike from Taben-Rodt.
