The figure of TILL EULENSPIEGEL depicted here is one of those personalities whose traditional name and stories - dating back to medieval times - are still known in the collective memory today, but about whom it cannot be said with historical certainty whether they ever actually lived. It is possible that this figure is a mixture of stories handed down under the name "Till Eulenspiegel" from - originally very different - people, who then grew together over time to form the one legendary figure that we know to this day. And whether he existed or not - the main thing is: the myth lives on!

Very good idea, it seems like every 10th house has an information board in front of the door. That makes the walk through the village even more interesting.

Lots of fun for lots of money

Every year it's the same spectacle, the broom blooms. I had a creative phase a long time ago. Since then, an unfinished painting has been on the easel. So I'm also after the broom for study purposes. 😉

Karls Erlebnisdorf has acquired the site of the former Löwenkaserne and the ordnance clearance company commissioned to do the job is really working hard to remove the surrounding buildings. The Löwenkaserne itself is a listed building. Will it become a hotel for the Erlebnisdorf?
