If you're traveling along the Niederstriegis Panorama (Circular) Trail, you'll pass two road bridges over the Freiberger Mulde. At the southeastern end, below the Niederstriegis Mulde weir, the small Rosswein district of Amerika lies on the right bank of the river. If you cross the "Bridge to Amerika" (officially, that's really what it's called!) heading east and follow the Bahnberg hill for a short distance, you'll have a beautiful view of the town entrance sign from the Mühlgraben. Since the sign with the curious place name has repeatedly fallen victim to thieves, it was erected on private property and attached to an extra-long pole at a lofty height. Rosswein's Amerika does not belong to Meissen, as the title suggests, but to the Döbeln district.

Very descriptive.

The beginning is a bit car-heavy, especially at times when all the guests are heading to the Margarethenmühle. But it's worth it for any hiker once you've made it past them.

Accessible on foot and by bike

Beautiful little pond with many rest areas.

Water dissolution tunnel of the Gersdorf mining industry. Named after Adam von Starschedel, landowner of Gersdorf after the Reformation. The tunnel was opened up in the 17th century, which allowed the abandoned mining to be resumed. At times it was used as a canal, ore was transported by water to the laundry. From 1833 onwards it was transported by rail - 1885 the mine closed - since 1980 it has been used by Segen Gottes Erbstolln e.V. Gersdorf - according to the information board

The Adam Stolln mouth is beautifully situated directly on the Freiberger Mulde.
