As for wildlife, you can discover native amphibians such as the rare natterjack toad and reptiles such as the grass snake, the largest snake in the region. There are also over 120 beaver territories, and with a bit of luck, you might also spot red deer, roe deer, and wild boar, which dominate the forest. The seven woodpecker species, including the shy black woodpecker, that live in the near-natural forests are also particularly fascinating.
