A castle in Bavaria, almost in the middle of Germany. Once a noble seat, later place of jurisdiction - and now for more than 100 years in the hands of dedicated people who care for the walls and preserve their spirit: hospitality, respectful cooperation, education and music. You will certainly find a place to feel good in a youth hostel or conference center!

In 1803, as part of the secularisation, the castle came to the princes of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg, who sold it to the Quickborn Friends Association in 1919. Today the castle is managed by the Association of Friends of Rothenfels e.V. and houses a conference center and a youth hostel.

Due to its function, the interior cannot be visited, but it is possible to walk across the extensive grounds.

This stately castle was built in 1150.

In 1342 the castle became the property of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg.

In 1803 the castle became the property of the Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg house. Today it serves as a youth hostel and conference center.
