Instead, we ask you, Son of God, to equate us with the good thief who looked at you with eyes full of shame, repentance, and hope; who, with the eyes of faith, saw divine victory in your apparent defeat and thus knelt before your mercy and grace and, with honesty and integrity, stole paradise.
