Always a nice destination near Velden!

Unfortunately, most of the hike takes place in blazing sun on the bike path right next to the road between Kumhausen and Obergangkofen, so the noise is accordingly. Between Obergangkofen and Hachelstuhl it goes first through the village with beautiful houses and then over the fields and through a little wood to Hachelstuhl. Corresponding noise level also between Hachelstuhl down to Grammelkam, there you walk on the busy bike path directly along the B15. The most beautiful part is between Grammelkam and Kumhausen, which you walk on the paved bike path along the Roßbach back to Kumhausen. I think there are nicer hikes off the beaten track in the area.

Nice view over the valley and weekly changing stories in the box next to the bank. Highly recommended for families with children.

Next door there is a farm shop where you can buy eggs, meat and feathers from the jams

The ostrich farm is a change! The animals, which come from Central Asia and are bred here, can withstand temperatures as low as -30 degrees Celsius. You can buy eggs here - one egg equals the amount of about 25 chicken eggs! Or egg shells as lanterns ... Occasionally there are ostrich meat, Here you can also find beautiful lamps and tealights from painted or engraved ostrich eggs from South Africa, Fair Trade. From here you can use cycling and hiking trails. Opposite the ostrich farm you will find garden sculptures and mosaics, oranges from Sicily in winter, orchards in summer.
