🚰 🌳 The Ahlintel waterworks (Ahlintel 11b, 48282 Emsdetten) is an important site for the regional drinking water supply and an interesting point of interest in the Ahlintel farming community. The plant is operated by the Steinfurt municipal utilities. The surrounding water protection area ensures that high-quality groundwater can be extracted and treated here.

The formerly independent parish of St. Servatius, with over 800 years of history, is one of the oldest in the diocese, as evidenced by its rare dedication to Bishop Servatius. The present church was built between 1860 and 1962, and its tower houses Emsdetten's oldest bells, dating from 1504 and 1696.

It used to be called the dancing linden tree.

What makes it special: ⛪The people of Ahlintel built it almost single-handedly, with great personal, financial, and material commitment. Since building materials were scarce in the post-war period, they often traded bacon and sausage to obtain bricks and stones.
