Very clear plan of the castle park

The palace was built between 1701 and 1711 as a hunting lodge for Emperor Charles VI. In 1945, the palace was plundered by Soviet occupation troops, and in 1949, it largely burned down. Only the central section of the main building survived; the side wings were gradually reconstructed.

A charming exhibition of drawings by children's book author Erwin Moser. The adjoining wine culture house features a wonderful wine cellar and a fantastic tasting with a winemaker from Gols.

Beautiful castle with a wonderful garden. The castle hotel is located in the adjacent building.

The park is open 24 hours a day, year-round. Cyclists are welcome throughout the entire castle grounds; bike racks can be found in front of the castle and the restaurant. It's worth seeing, a worthwhile destination for a detour or a tour.
