In a spiritual impulse by Dr. Tobias Schwaderlapp (diocesan youth pastor in the Archdiocese of Cologne), he invited us to "rediscover this: quiet rest with God." I would like to briefly share a central passage from his reflection with the hiker lingering before this small sacred monument: + "One thought has become particularly important to me: praying doesn't always mean having to use many words. Praying can also simply mean resting with God. I sit down, become still (sometimes that takes time!) – and am simply there. Trusting that God is also there. That he sees me, is interested in me, understands me, and surrounds me." (T. Schwaderlapp)

Filial Church of John the Baptist on the Flattnitz: A quiet place of contemplation in the middle of the Carinthian mountains. The small church impresses with its simple beauty and invites you to a moment of peace and reflection. There is a beautiful playground right next door.

You can also spend the night in the hut. It is usually open from the beginning of May to the end of October and from the beginning of December to the end of March.
