With its rock faces rising up to 50m on three sides, the gorge is perhaps the most spectacular natural monument in Luxembourg's Little Switzerland. The structure and the stratification of the Luxembourg sandstone can be seen very well on the rock faces. According to research, the formations were created when blocks of Luxembourg sandstone separated from the sandstone plateau along fissures parallel to the valley. The clayey layer of marl located under the sandstone blocks the penetrating water and causes the sandstone blocks to slide into the valley and be tilted in the process. At the entrance to the gorge, the so-called “Cleopatra's Needle” rises, a high, obelisk-like rock needle.

Beautiful and this is located exactly behind the MartBusch campsite. The view from the viewpoint further on is much better, this is more of a rest spot because you don't see much of the vegetation here anymore.
